The North American (C.A.C.) CA-18 Mustang 21 ain 1432 was built for the R.A.A.F. as A68-105 and was delivered on 21 November 1947. After little service use and a lot of storage, it was sold as part of a group of some 60 of the type to R.H.Grant Trading Co. on 23 April 1958; it was saved from the smelter when purchased in August 1960 by Ken Frearson, owner of the "Fleetwings" garage at Laverton, Victoria. He in turn sold A68-105 on to Jim Carter, Dick Hourigan & John Hopton in October 1964 and it was intended as the basis for the Moorabbin Air Museum. This was not to be, and it passed to Dick Hourigan, saw a lot of storage and movement, and was finally registered as VH-JUC on 12 April 1996 after a tremendous amount of restorative work. Using the ex-R.A.A.F. radio call-sign VM-JUC as its' registration, it flies currently wearing the markings of "KH677 CV-P", being those of S/L Murray Nash the former C.O. of No. 3 Sqn. in Italy during World War II
