The registration of this aircraft is the first three letters of my surname, Kerville - I imported it into Australia from the US in 1975. It was a low-hours demonstrator at a Piper dealership at San Jose, Calif. The aircraft was flown across the Pacific by Capt Jim Dunne, who became a friend. Jim was killed a few years later while flying a Beech to Hawaii - lost an engine and gradually descended into the sea. VH-KER was owned by our family for about ten years; we travelled in it to the four corners of Australia.
